Sign-up to Become a Mentor or Mentee Mentorship is an integral part of Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association's mission. Serving as a mentor brings many challenges and rewards, with the best mentors working to shape their mentees into other leaders. If done well, the long-term impact of mentoring can offer life- and career-changing benefits to both parties. Mentorship is important in developing the next generation of successful Black women lawyers. We encourage our members to sign-up to be paired with a mentor or mentee by completing one of the forms below. While our mentoring program focuses on providing mentors for Black women and girls, anyone can be a mentor.
To get the full benefits of the mentorship program we suggest that mentors and mentees commit to communicate with each other at least once a month by e-mail, telephone, or in person. |
